Plan Your Tiny Desk AI Cast: Solo, Vocals, Keys and Sax
A practical guide to the two concert modes, five performer roles and the credits behind each choice.
Choose the moment, then the mode
A solo puts the lead vocalist at the center of a five-second clip. It is a useful fit for a quick greeting or a reaction sent to a friend. A fifteen-second group concert offers several musical roles, making it a natural choice when you want a shared performance. Watch the examples before choosing: the number of custom portraits and the length of the video are separate choices.
Give each person the right spot
Start with the lead singer, then work through the four supporting slots. Two backing singers stand on the left and right, another sings while seated at the keyboard, and the saxophonist appears in the instrumental moment. Use the role names beside the uploads to keep track of your lineup. You can leave the prepared supporting portraits in place and personalize just the lead, or bring in a larger cast.
Compare quality and credits
The group concert costs 10 credits at 480p and 22 at 720p, whether you add one custom portrait or five. The solo costs 4 or 8 credits respectively. Choose the resolution for the result you want to save and review the total shown in the studio. The soundtrack is included in the finished 9:16 MP4.
